The Engineer and the Tennis Player

[Closed RP with Larry Koopa].

A large explosion sounded.

It was coming from the direction of Bowser's Castle. Iggy removed the thick glasses from his face, wiped them off with his thumb, and placed them back on his eyes, his new gaze fixed upon the source of the sound.

"Intriguing. They must have found a new canon or something."

He made his way towards the noise, unaware that an unexpected visit may occur at any moment now.

Larry was playing in his bedroom. He was very concentrated on what he was doing : stacking little blocks, aiming to have the tallest cubes tower he ever had. The pile was starting to become quite high, he gently tiptoed, staring at all his cubes with pride, but suddenly, a large explosion sounded, making the floor rumble and his cubes pile fall all over the place. He fell on his bum.

"Noooo!! Waaaahahaha !"

He shouted, throwing a little tantrum, slamming his little fists on the floor. He stood up a bit angry, kicking a cube away. Explosion... That could only be one of Iggy's experience, failing again!! He left his castle a bit angry and walked toward Iggy's. He didn't really realize where the sound came from, too busy with his cubes.

While he was walking out, he saw Iggy from a distance, who seemed to walk toward Bowser's castle. It made him frown, before running toward the tall green koopa. She screamed.

"YOUUUUUU!!!!!"

He ran faster and faster, raising his little arms in anger, staring at Iggy.

Unaware of the blue-haired koopa approaching, soon Larry was charging towards Iggy at an insanely fast speed. When he caught up, the two of them fell to the floor, tumbling down in a giant blurred ball of spiked shells and uniquely colored hair. Iggy picked himself up hastily and glared at his new companion.

"W-what do you think you're doing?!" He began to dust his body off. "Sprinting towards me, at full throttle? Are you ins-"

He was interrupted by another explosion from Bowser's castle which made him jump, and suddenly the reason Larry had been angry dawned on him. He turned to his sibling and gave him a very sarcastic glance.

"Surely you have greater faith in my cognitive ability?"

He slowly got back on his feet, removing dust from his body, moaning at the same time.

"C'm'on Iggy! Don't play the innocent! I know watch'ya were doing again, you blew something up and my BEAUTIFUL CUBE TOWER FELL!!"

Then a new explosion sounded loudly, making him startle, before running to hide behind his tall brother, a bit scared.

"O-ok, mah bad, maybe it wasn't ya!..."

"Beautiful cube tower? May I inquire what you're rambling about?! There are more impor--"

Again the lean koopaling was interrupted. A fourth, fifth and sixth loud blast came from the castle, and he turned to face it once more. He hesitated before looking over at his brother.

"Alright. We both know that isn't coming from any of my experiments." His expression was smug for a moment. "With that aside, I think it's best we investigate the scenario, what do you say...?"

He signaled with a hand for Larry to follow him, while simultaneously turning in the direction of the castle.

The blue haired Koopaling startled again at every explosion, getting closer to Iggy everytime, ending up clinging on to his leg. He looked up at him, and slowly nodded.

"Alright... Let's go then!"

He coughed and stood up straight, looking at his brother waling away. After a few seconds, he bounced behind him with courage.

"What do you think it might be?! Heh?! The Mario brothers attacking us?! Naaah. They wouldn't use bombs! Would they?! But why? I thought King Bowser was having a little break at the moment. I don't think the plumbers are clever enough to take this as an opportunity to attack us... AREN'T THEY?!!"

He asked while walking, quite implied and curious about the situation.

Iggy walked alongside his blue-haired companion as he too, watched closely as to what was happening around Bowser's Castle. He adjusted his glass lenses to see better.

"That's tricky," he mused. "There doesn't seem to be much of a hint for us merely through observation. Which suggests maybe something is being fired from the inside of the castle. But who in their right mind would..."

The explosions didn't let up. Yet another one sounded. "C'mon, Lar, let's make haste! The castle could be in danger!" He grabbed his brother's arm and started to run. His hyperactive nature made him very quick on his feet, and he didn't know if Larry could keep up or not. But this just slipped his mind as he darted forth.

His tall friend was running so fast while grabbing him that he barely touched the floor with his feet, maybe once in a while, but he was mostly flying. It made him laugh.

"Weeheehee!!! He he he he!!!"

He was having so much fun he nearly forgot about the reasons why they had to run.

"He he he!!! So what's the plan again? Heeeeeheeee!!!"
