I haven't tried online yet so I'm not too sure.

I'm sure the price will drop eventually, considering the lack of features in the game. It will probably only sell well because it's a Mario game and Rosalina is in it.

Ok I have been weak and I finally got it, as I managed to find it for a decent price. So far it's fun. I'm just frustrating there is not a lot of animations per characters. I was hoping at least 2 or 3 differents poses when they lose or win but they all have just one Neutral
But that's a detail, I just love seeing my favourite characters acting.
The way Waluigi becomes giant is hilarious though, with his dancer pose

The game in itself is fun really, not as bad as what people say, but tournament mode is really missing.

Anyway I was checking how to unlock characters and I found that.
I put a spoiler in cas people want to find it out alone :

Spoiler:

I'll admit Waluigi's giant pose is funny, he also does that continuously in the Castle Club in Mario Golf: World Tour on the 3DS. The game isn't as bad as people are saying it is, it's just that it's lacking in content such as the classic Tournament Mode.

Sprixie Princess was very easy for me to get, it only took me a few tries surprisingly because of luck. I actually did it by playing as either Daisy or Peach (forgot which one) and played against the other. Just make sure they don't do anything stupid or actually try to get the ball away from you. If you can't do it then just get a bunch of coins and get her that way since you can unlock every achievement using coins.

I guess it doesn't have the animations when you get a trophy since there is no tournament mode

Anyway, it's nice the game is fun but I think it hurts the game to be compared to Mario Power Tennis since it has gimmick, special attacks,minigames,ect.. So, since the game doesn't really get all of theses.. They are disapointed...

I've never played it so im not gonna judge but it still looks fun so I think for a cheap price, it looks like worth it!

It was hilarious playing a Doubles Tournament in Mario Tennis Open as both Bowser and Dry Bowser since they shared the same animations. They have the same animations in Ultra Smash too. Anyway, I hope Ultra Smash will get more content as time goes on just like Splatoon does. The character roster is smaller than Mario Tennis 64 (if the GBC transfer characters counts), Mario Power Tennis, and Mario Tennis Open (if the QR Code characters count). Actual minigames would be great too.

Hopefully online mode gets fixed. I'd actually like to play with friends if they wouldn't mind playing against me. Even though I think only two of my friends (including Daisy) actually bothered to buy it. Although I do think Mario Kart 8 online is much more fun, except the constant Rosalinas and Miis ruin it a little.

Oooh that's nice to learn I can use coins as well to buy the complicated character.

Yes that would be great to play online
But I think the region is locked so I wont be able to play with you Sad

I didn't use coins to unlock any of the characters. Sprixie Princess is the only one that can actually be hard to unlock, but I was lucky and was actually able to unlock her without the coins. I've only used coins so far just changing the stats on my Peach amiibo and Yoshi amiibo.

That's a shame, something tells me the online mode was definitely rushed on based on how limited it is in the first place compared to Mario Kart.
Mario Kart 8 online > Mario Tennis Ultra Smash online XD
