Mario Kart!

My favorite Mario spin-off series! What do you guys think about Mario Kart? And what is your favorite Mario Kart? I like Mario Kart 8 the most (playable Koopalings!) but I also love Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and Mario Kart 64.

And has anyone here played any of the Arcade Mario Kart games? I played Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 twice, have not played the first one or DX.

Mario Kart Wii's item system is definitely better than Mario Kart 8's. No coins from item boxes (I always get the coin when I'm in first). And usually if I'm losing the people ahead of me can get three mushrooms and I just get one.

I do think the arcade Karts (at least the 2nd one since that's the only one I played) are decent, but they certainly don't beat the main Mario Karts. I did like the idea of the Pac-Man characters being in there, I liked using Blinky (why is he not in DX? ). DX actually has DLC and seems to add new things every once in a while.

Bananas in last place... just what I needed!

I heard something about there being DLC courses eventually, but it seems like they've only added four characters so far and some new karts. Maybe items too. This thing I read online suggests that Daisy is supposed to be upcoming DLC too.

I love Mario Kart, it's one of the rare game I'm never bored to play !
Well... Except when I lose... But that's my Daisy side I suppose
It's just a shame I tend to always play as the same characters, I should learn how to play the other ones!
Do you tend to always pick the same one too or can you handle any character?


And I'm lost but what are the arcade and DX games you're talking about?
I remember I played a Mario Kart in a fair one day, maybe that's it.

I usually pick the same characters over again. Usually Yoshi, Lemmy, Iggy, Peach, and Daisy. Sometimes Morton or Dry Bowser when I want a super heavywieght.

There are three other Mario Kart games outside of the main Mario Karts: Mario Kart Arcade GP, Mario Kart Arcade GP 2, and Mario Kart Arcade GP DX. They are only at arcades. Namco also makes them, and Pac-Man is included in all three of the games. The newest one also has DLC. (Rosalina, Metal Mario, Baby Mario, Baby Peach, and supposedly Daisy coming later on)

WHAT Daisy was not included in the game? SHE'S THE BEST RACER !!
Pac man stole the Princess's place, that's not fair.


I usually main Luigi, I love him but it's also mainly because I don't manage to play with the other ones. I suppose I don't use the right wheels or vehicle I never understand what is best for who!

I find it odd that Rosalina, Metal Mario, and two of the babies were added over Daisy, who has been consistent in every main Mario Kart since Double Dash. Not even Waluigi, Junior, and the babies aren as consistent as Daisy in Mario Kart but they're in DX too. There's supposedly at least four more DLC characters and I heard Daisy is supposed to be one.

In Mario Kart 8 I always pick the Cyber Slick tires. For the Kart I switch from the Pipe Frame, Blue Falcon, B Dasher, and the Sport Bike.

Waluigi doesn't bother me at all in sport games, he has been created for that (contrary to Rosalina) and he is really funny. But I'm not too much of a fan on the babies either...  For me they don't make sense as they are the baby forms of the characters. They should stay in the Yoshi's island games, that their real place.

Yeah I don't understand why Nintendo likes baby characters so much. They like them enough that they had the need to create two of them just for Mario Kart games.

The baby girls are cute but baby mario and baby luigi are ugly and their voices are SO ANNOYING XD
They should have used real kids voice instead of Charles Martinet. It really sound weird and doesn't help.

Baby Rosalina scares me a little... I like the Baby Yoshis and Baby DK the most out of the babies though.

I like shorts but man, it's the ugliest of the three. WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO CHOOSE OUR OUTFITS!

I think the shorts are cute on you Daisy. But of course I like it when we wear matching outfits. I don't know why Rosalina's trying to be like us though.
